Mother nature can be very deceiving at times. One day before our food drive, she dropped 9” of snow in the Sussex County area. Twenty miles south from my home, there was not a trace of snow. Although the rain and snow was much needed, it did not stop the 14 members from coming out and supporting our cause of donating food to the Wayne Interfaith Food Pantry. There isn’t much that can be said about this event that hasn’t already been said. The weather was spectacular considering 24 hours earlier it was snowing. The fire was almost smokeless and a pleasure to watch. The selection of firearms available for our shooting pleasure was more than adequate and the food was not only plentiful but delicious. Tis’ the season for the installation banquet/holiday party. It was a wonderful event at Perona Farms. The food was delicious and the company couldn’t have been any better. We swore in the existing officers for a second term. Thanks to everyone who has helped this past year. We had some fun with a gift exchange. We also had a successful fundraiser to help with the restoration of the firetruck.
