After a week of 80 degree weather, and still in a draught watch, we really needed the rain, but it could have waited one more day before it came. As such, we ended up with only 3 Model A’s and two modern machines for our Sunday morning trip.
We made our way from the Rockaway mall to the Scranberry Coop antique mall in Andover; then north to the High Point State Park where it was snowing and the monument was obscured by fog and clouds; then to Anderson Farms Nursery in Sussex and finally to the Irish Cottage in Franklin for lunch. Although heavy rain was forecast, it only sprinkled or misted at times so driving was really reasonable. In addition to wetting down the top of our cars, we did also get the bottom washed on the overflowing wooden plank bridge on Sawmill Road leading to High Point.
After much battling over who had the highest poker hand, Bobbi Bettle won all the money from the kitty with a pair of 9’s.
