On Saturday, September 13th, the Model A Ford Club of New Jersey celebrated International Model A Ford Day with a tour and some local town drive throughs highlighting the event. Seven cars, 9 adults and two kids had a ball as we traveled the countryside and surprised a few local towns blowing our “ahooga” horns. Noone got arrested.

On the tour we visited Kinnelon, Fayson Lakes, drove through Rockaway Valley, Denville Center and the Town of Rockaway. Next, we did a Rockaway Townsquare Mall drive through. We took a break in the Milton section of Oak Ridge, then headed to Lake Hopatcong. We visited Sparta, circled Lake Mohawk. and headed on up to Lafayette Village for lunch at the Lafayette House.

Afterwards everyone was free to enjoy the Village “Fall Festival” featuring the open shops, local crafts, artisan vendors, live music, food trucks and a beer and cocktail garden. It was a perfect day, and we all had a great time.
