Terri and I arrived early enough to enjoy their ham, egg and cheese sandwiches before setting up for the games. The firetruck project is nearly completed and it is a beautiful truck. The truck was taken to the national meet in Gettysburg this June. It was admired by the spectators and scored very well in touring class. It was a lot of fun touring the Gettysburg Battle Grounds and of course, ice cream after. Fire Truck Restoration Update

I am happy to report there has been lots of progress on the continued project of restoring our club fire truck. We are about ¾ of the way to its completion. We were able to get the engine started and running last week, what a sweet sound and there was quite a round of applause. We had a beautiful day for our tour which began at the Dunkin donuts in Denville on Sunday, May 18th. Eight Model A’s and one Pontiac departed, traveling through Parsippany, Mor-ris Plains and Morristown. There isn’t much that can be said about this event that hasn’t already been said. The weather was spectacular considering 24 hours earlier it was snowing. Tis’ the season for the installation banquet/holiday party. It was a wonderful event at Perona Farms. The food was delicious and the company couldn’t have been any better. We swore in the existing officers for a second term. Thanks to everyone who has helped this past year. We had some fun with a gift exchange. We also had a successful fundraiser to help with the restoration of the firetruck.
